School and one Amazing Riley!

This past week Riley started school. I was so nervous on his first day I couldn't get over how strange that was. I worked at home the first two days so I could be more focused on him. Our plan is for Randy to drop him off in the mornings and I will meet him at his bus stop. On Monday I picked him up and he was so upset he didn't get to ride the bus. So, on Tuesday we let him ride the bus home. Randy met him at the bus stop (we have been having CAR ISSUES...a post for another day perhaps?) and apparently Riley had cried the whole way home because he was afraid he was on the wrong bus. My poor little baby trying to be all grown up. :) Thankfully the school is very organized and they put name tags on the kids with thier bus numbers and someone walks them to their bus so they really would never get on the wrong bus. Randy and I felt like we were going back to school too because it is such a transition for us too...getting up earlier, etc. :) I am very proud of Riley and am so glad he has the opportunity to go to school and learn!

Aiden wanted to go to school too, here he is at Nana's house. :)

Today, we came home from church and Randy asked Riley questions about the Sacrament. "What does the Water represent?" Riley's answer "Jesus Blood". "What does the bread represent?" "Jesus body". Randy said that his teacher had told him that Riley was the only one who knew the answers. He couldn't figure out how he would know that. Then I realized there is a good chance he has the sacrament prayers memorized. Sure enough....I pulled out my scriptures and started reading them and he was able to fill in all of the blanks (I would pause to see if he knew the next phrase). I am just blown away by him all the time. I told him how proud of him I am that he pays attention to the boys who are blessing sacarament and that he is already preparing to have the priesthood some day.
