Beck Family Reunion/Bousfield Reunion

Over 4th of July weekend we hit two family reunions. The Harold Beck Family Reunion and the Bousfield Reunion (Randy's family). So, we headed to Utah for the first. We were lucky to get to stay with my cousin Byron and Tricia's family. Riley just loves staying at their house and thought Tanner and Jonathan were pretty cool letting him sleep in their room. All the boys had a good time "camping out" in the basement together. Before the reunion events started we took the boys up to Bountiful to see Randy's family. Grandma Betty got everyone together for a luncheon at his Aunt Debs house. Debs grandson Makai had some pretty cool toys!

We went to an Orem Owls game that night, unfortunately I must have forgotten my camera.

On Friday we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. Because it was a 3 day weekend for the 4th of July, it was crazy busy! It was neat to see the inside, architecture and decor.

After the Open House, we headed to Temple Square and the Church Office Building for lunch. My cousin Melissa is the assistant to the General Relief Society President, Julie B. Beck, so we had a private tour of the Women's Building, which contains offices for the Primary, YW, and RS General Presidencies and Boards. There are Board rooms also. It was really a neat experience.


Here are the kids in the Primary display in the Womens building. Here they sang "I am a Child of God" Melissa gave an amazing tour.

I of course had to take pictures on the temple grounds, which included flowers. The flowers at the temple are always beautiful!

After our temple tours, we headed to the Taylorsville Stake Center for a BBQ and games. Everyone had a great time! Camille made Balloon animals for the kids, check out Teresa's hat. She loved it (sorry it is crooked!).

They always have Jump Rope games available, which are fun for kids and Adults. Randy and Jonathan fought for first place spots 3 times. (See video of Randy below).

On Saturday the FOURTH we headed up to Holiday for the Parade near my Grandma's house. My dad and his brother and sister used to ride their bikes down to the parade.
Camille made Balloon hats again.

This is Byron and Tricia and Melissa and Bradley. Also Aunt Linda, Uncle Mont and Cathy.

As you can see, the boys came away with a LOT of candy!

After the Parade we headed down to the Carnival. Here's a picture of Riley at the corn pellet gun booth. He hit a target and won a squirt gun (later lost during the fireworks.)

After the carnival we headed to Steamboat Springs Colorado to meet up with the Bousfield family.

We made it just in time for Fireworks! Here is Riley and Jeremy at the fireworks show.

The next day we went and did the Alpine Slide (in addition to swimming at the pool!)
